| By analysing Zhoutao,Yangmu and Zhangdeyi's poems, we research the major characteristics of the new frontier poetry and their contribution. As soon as, we discover some questions what must be faced by the new frontier poetry. Although they have no relation to the literature.The paper can be divided into three parts.The first part replores the regional and cultural background abuout Western China and the birth of the new frontier poetry. Base on distinguishing physiographic region of Western China and Western China under the cultural vision, we ascertain where is the new frontier poetry's regional background and find civilization with different characters of Western China may be a barrier of Western China with the mainstream literature of china. The new frontier poetry, which meets the demands of psychological, emotional and aesthetic. Added with the stimulus of special cultural environment, the new frontier poetry have become a peculiarity.The second part mainly analyses the west, as a relatively independent aesthetic object, enters into the artistic field, thus forms a special featured of the new frontier poetry.Firstly, we research 'the Identity about the Matter and Me'. And we find personified nature is maximum specific of the description of scenery in the new frontier poetry.Secondly, we analyze the aesthetic Style of the new frontier poetry and find bold and unconstrained literature style is maximum specific. To be a result, the new frontier poetry develop the aesthetic demand of the New Period Literature. Meanwhile, the new frontier poetry show the image of the savage by means of writing the subject matter about national minorities and the main theme of wildlife.Thirdly, we replore the artistic characteristics about Zhoutao, Yangmu, Zhangdeyi. Zhoutao's poetry surge a exciting, indignant and vehement melody of vitality. Yangmu's artistic style is fresh image and deep historical consciousness. Zhangdeyi' poetry contains ideas solemn and great, emotions intense and ablaze.
