As a part of ideological areas, reproductive concepts' formation and maintenance depend on the specific social environment in which they operates. Adapting to the political,econmic and cutural uniqueness of Chinese traditional society, ancient Chinese reproductive concepts are early marriage, early procreation, multi-family. These concepts' negative influences were not very obvious in the period that the population growth was slowly. However, a rapid population growth lead to a "scourge" situation since in Qing Dynasty. In modern times, people began to reflect and critic traditional reproductive concepts, and suggested reducing the population by controlling birth. At the same time, as a part of traditional ethical values, traditional repruductive concepts received a inevitable shock. Under the influence of demographic and cultural factors, traditional reproductive concepts and their maintenance bases occurred a turbulence change.Mrs Sanger, the US Birth Control movement's founder, came to China and advocated her birth control theory in Beijing and Shanghai in 1922. Birth Control movement began developing in China. Newspapers and magazines published the birth control articles, some of which also published the "birth, control" of the ad at that time. A large number of books on theory and methods of reproductive restraint also published. Birth contol's advocators disseminated it from different perspectives and positions, such as population, women, families. In addition to media publicity, advocators also set up birth control clinics to give guidances and practical helps to the people who want to control birth.As a kind of new idea, Birth Control movement received welcomes by enlightened person, but also caused a fierce opposition at the same time. The conflict between them caused a great controversy about controlling birth. With the development of the movement, a lot of people have already begun to accept such new idea, and begun to initiative change their bearing behavior by modern science means.
