| In contemporary society, visual culture has been rapidly emerging and becoming an important part, even leading part, of modern culture. New requirement on the news media rise and this is the visualization in the news information transmission, with feature to be acquired and known by the public in a short time. Newspaper medium, therefore, has entered into the Era of Picture. As the industry of news broadcasting has been booming since the beginning of reform and opening-up in China, the competition among the news media become intense increasingly. The newspaper medium needs to not only satisfy the demand of news information acquisition by the audience, but also face the rivalry with TV, Internet, or other media. Consequently, in recent years, newspaper began to explore the visualization transmission rules. The reinforced picture report and the direct, fast news transmission, in the process of proactive picturization promotion, are the means to attract audience and compete with TV, Internet and other media. In spite of unprecedented development, news photography in China's newspaper is still facing many problems in the actual practice. The research on the news photography in China's newspapers in the Era of Picture will be of importance, realism and typicality.This essay dissects the existing problems in China's news photography and brings forward constructive development directions, by making the analysis of current social culture, study of the history of news photography since the founding of China and the growth of overseas photographs in news, and combination of the practice in news broadcasting. The article is divided into four sections: the first analyzes the social culture, with heading of The Coming of the Era of Vision Culture Broadcasting;second part is a review of the growth of news photography in new China;third section isdevoted into the development ideas about the newspaper photography in the Era of Picture;and the forth dedicates the calm thinking to current status of news photography development. In this essay, the author thinks it's an inevitable trend to promote visualization in the newspaper development. Only scientific utilization of visual means in news transmission can enable newspaper lure audience effectively and only serving the audience can make newspaper developed continuously. |
