The Study On Sun Shi-The Scholar Of Jing Xue In The Early Northern Song Dynasty

Sun Shi was a renowned academician of Jing Xue and educationalist,who lived in theearly Northern Song Dynasty. His political ideas and role could not be neglected.He positivelyparticipated the reduction of the Confucian classics, the etiquette changing, the of reformthe tea tax law. Sun Shi acted as the highest governer of Yanzhou twice , managed localeducation, repaired the water conservation, and made the indelible contribution foreconomical and cultural development of the Yanzhou. After the Agreement of Chanyuan, inorder to seek the psychological balance, Song Zhenzong worshiped the Mountain of Taiand Fen Yin and paied respects to the Tai Qing palace, Zhen Zong and his ministerswere like craziness. Sun Shi ,as a renowned academician of Jing Xue ,has not drifted withthe current, and submited a written statement against worshipment to the Mountain of Tai,Fen Yin and respects to the Tai Qing palace. His words were frankly and offensive.Thisdemenstrated that his political wisdom was outstanding and distinctive.Sun Shi negated Zhangjuxungu in the traditional Confucianism and suspected that theauthenticity of the Confucian classics. By Confucian doctrine Sun Shi studied the meangingof Jingxue and advocated the methods that was governed the country, benefiting for Jing Xuefrom Zhangjuxungu to the learning of Xingli. Sun shi paved the way for the rise oftheXingli.Sun Shi putted emphasis on the meaning of Jingxue and the governing country alsoopposed superstition. Sun Shi resolutely opposed to worshipped the Mountain of Tai andFenyin.Sun Shi thought the people were more important than the God. As the highestgoverner of the country ,their most important work was to make the people living a happylife.It was good to make the country steady forever. The ultimate goal of Sun Shi was to rulethe people for the ruling class.Sun Shi presented the imperial edict checks against the authoritative text Menciusduring Da Zhong Xiang Fu, and was for Zheng Yi——the shu of Mencius played theimportant role in the classical literature preservation and the development. But Zhu Xithought the Shu of Mencius was false.In fact the judgment of Zhu Xi was not reasonable. TheShu of Mencius was from Sun Shi.
