The first railway of America was constructed in 1830. It marked America becoming the one of four earliest conturies which paved and used the railway(Britain, America, France and Russia). In the sixties of the 19^th century, the United States entered The Time of Railroad, and constructed successfully five transcontinental railroads. Their large scale and fast speed are unprecedented. This paper will deal with the historical background, spread process, successful factor, great effect and so on .
