From Atrocity Mother To Virtuous Mother

Chinese literature in the new era is the important period of Chinese contemporary literature. During this period, many authors aim to shape one group of mother image urgently different before. Especially from 90's, many female authors aim to writing "atrocity mother" consistently. It result to the subversion and rewriting of the classical virtuous-mother image. It is an important phenomena of literature. Many criticism appear and comment on this comment on. but there is not one synthetic and specially treatise writing on this literature phenomena.This paper is to use the way of text-analyzing. Basing on time-evolve card of the mother image, its emphases is to discuss the two kinds of mother images in the novels of Chinese contemporary literature: atrocity mother and virtuous mother. During the discussion, it contains not only the detailed compartmentalization of the mother images but also the different compare of the male and female writing. Further it clarifies the changing reasons from the virtuous mother to atrocity mother through the views of society , literature and aesthetics aspects. The object is to synthetic and specially reflecting on the mother image of this period.
