Abstract/Summary:
Grammaticalization is a hot point that the domestic and international grammatic circles pay attention to in the last decade. It provided to agree with to order for us to conbine the diachronic level with the synchronic plane analyse on language by the theories of semantics, pragmatics, comparative linguistics, cognitive psychology etc. It also can help us to open out the reason of the problem not explained only by diachronic level or synchronic plane before, and then find out the solution. This paper makes more overall investigation on the process of grammaticalization about "Ru(如), Ruo(若), Ran(然), Yan(焉), Er(尔)" in ancient Chinese by using the related theories of grammaticalization. Based on this, the author puts forward some different viewpoints from someone else. This paper consists of three parts:The first part is a preface. In it, firstly we discuss some problems such as the appellation on grammaticalization and emptiness, the domestic and international research consensus about the theories of grammaticalization, the usage in Chinese language study, and so on. then, after briefly introduced the present condition of the research about "Ru(如), Ruo(若), Ran(然), Yan(焉), Er(尔) ", we explained the value being studied again and the research target that this paper want to attain.The second part is the main body, is arranged five minor sections according tothe five words-"Ru(如), Ruo(若), Ran(然), Yan(焉), Er(尔)": From threeaspects of semantic, grammar, pragmatic, section 1 makes overall investigation on "Ru(如) "how from the verb meaning of "from with" step by step to turn to...
