From the emergence of school of post misty peotry to the 1990s, the deconstruction phenomenon has become a topic on which people inevitably touch, when they talk about peotry. The present thesis applies "deconstruction" to describe this phenomenon, in general, that is, a creative tendency emerging in the 1980s and the 1990s' poetry. The creative tendency rebels, ridicules and slights the basicly acknowledged morality, aesthetics and the views of peotry and art. "Reconstruction" refers to the relatively constructive tendency in the phenomenon of deconstruction, and it has to be discussed in the scope of deconstrution. To discuss deconstruction and reconstruction should be put in the context of the whole China's culture and literature. Meantime, the phenomenon in the 1990s' poetry should be contemplated in the vertical history of China's literature development. This thesis tentatively makes a comprehensive understanding of deconstruction and reconstruction phenomenon, using deconstruction as a perspective to interpret the 1990s' poems and making a new reading of them. This thesis consists of four parts:Introduction part defines "deconstrution and reconstruction" and makes a literature review of relevant criticism.Part One concerns the several manifestations of tendency of deconstruction and reconstruction. They mainly include absolute destruction, objective expression and positve construction. That is to say, "rebellion" first—the casual and unintentional writing in the realm of poetry; lack of the refined speech—the present existence deconstructs the past beauty, the poets only express; the constructive light in the maze of deconstruction. In these, however, deconstruction is more than reconstruction.Part two explores the reasons that deconstruction and reconstruction exist in the 1990s' poetry. The factors that lead to the overflowing of "deconstruction" phenomenon in poetry of this period are approached from the perspective of the outside influence, indigeneous context and thinking patterns; the possibility of "reconstruction" in poetry of this time are talked about in the social, cultural context of the 1990s and the development history of poetry itself. Conclusion Part brings forth the attitude toward "deconstruction". The dilectics is supposed to be adopted to treat the deconstruction phenomenon; deconstruction is just used as an approach, from which the text itself is analyzed so that the meaning and connotation conveyed by text is not cloaked.
