| Lieder are characterized by their being highly professional, interior-oriented and lyric, and are regarded as a hindrance to learning of vocal music .The perfomence of lieder is accordingly viewed as a manifestation that a singer exhibits both his/her skills in vocal music and his/her artistic accomplishments . To give a satisfactory performance of a lied , singers are supposed not only tomaster the skills ,but also to know its background , style and emotional spirit .They should also analyse its musical form , harmony and tone.Robert schuman's works have injected new ideas into lieder. This paper explores the nature of 《Frauenliebe und Leben》 ,one of his vocal musical divertimento, and prokes into its style and aesthetical characteristics.
