A Study On The Remains Of Shijiahe Culture In Xiaojiawuji Site

Xiaojiawuji Site is located in Tianmen city of Hubei Province. The Shijiahe Archaeology Term excavated it eight times , which supplied our with valuable material to establish the cultural development pedigrees of Shijiahe site groups , research the relation between the Qujialing Culture and Shijiahe Culture,study the civilized origin in middle ChangJiang River and the action and position in course of civilization . As for studying archaeology Cultures, It is the prerequisite and foundation to study single site which continues long time and contains abundant remains. As one of the most important Sites of Shijiahe Culture, it is necessary to put emphasis on studying it. On the base of the thought, based on former researches, this paper studied the stage , time and relation between the remains of every stage of the remains of Shijiahe Culture in Xiaojiawuji site, explored the main factors, origin and finally home of Shijiahe Culture, inspected the composition, propagation ways and action of the outside factors. This paper is divided into three parts totally: Part one: Study on stage, time and relation between the remains of every stage. I . Phase of life remains. In terms of the indicates of stratification relation and the development of artifacts composition, the life remains were divided into three stages and four phases II. Phase of burials. We compared the remains of earth hole Burials and the vessels of Jar Burials with the same potteries of life remains, the earth hole Burials were divided into two groups which were separately equal to early and middle stage of the life remains. The Jar Burials were divided into three groups which were separately equal to early stage, midterm and later period of the life remains. III. Corresponding relation of phase of life remains and burials. Synthesized the stages of Life Remains and Burials, we divided the Remains of Shijiahe Culture into three stages and four phases. IV. Study on relations. Based on the potteries, Burial common and structure characteristic of house, we put emphasis on relations between the remains of the later period and the early and middle stages of Shijiahe Culture. We thought they were different development phases of the same culture and were the same nature remains. V. Analysis on time. Analyzed the relative time and definite time of the Remains of Shijiahe Culture in Xiaojiawuji site.
