Zhang Zhidong is an influential personage in China. He played important role in the political and Educational reforms in late Qing Dynasty.He also Changed the military system and diplomatic pattern. In all his life, He poses as by "meek feudal official"who defends traditional moral principles,and he unremitted diligently to revise Confucianism's decline. As to the relationship between traditional and western learning, he himself is unable to solve the contradiction and conflict, and his practicality in the worldly affairs enables him to be for the western studies, Yet ,the loyalty to the Feudalism let him but to follow the model. In persuaded, He expressed his own difficult culture choice by "Westernized Chinese style". Zhang Zhi-dong's Culture Views still have the important historical status and the modern value.
