A Study On The Development Characteristics Of Achievement Motivation And Attribution In Young Females

In recent years, achievement motivation was an important research topic, however, among the researchs of which achievement goal orientation was the lastest and most widely studied one. With the elevation of female status, the proportion of succeed women gradually increased. In psychologist, pedagogy& sociology, more and more scholars attached importance on the study of this change, and the research on female achievement motivation and attribution styles became increasingly important. The research was designed to aim at exploring the development characteristics of youth female achievement motivations and attribution style and goal orientation among 689 young women subjects from varieties of social group with the employment of questionnaires. The results were as follows:(1)There was stable development of achievement motivation with the increase of age; 14-17 was fastigium in seeking-achievement motivation of young women; while 30-35 was fastigium in avoiding-failure motivation of those. Moreover, the educational degree had marking influence on the development of achievement motivation.(2)Achievement goal orientation keep obvious in the development direction during the whole youth; but there are different development levels at different dimensionalities: in master goals orientation view , it gradually increases from 14 to 35, in other words ,young women are inclined to develop their competence with the increase of age ; in the performance-approach goals view , it increases...
