The Research On The Relation Among Inspection Time, The Speed Of Information Processing And General Intelligence

Intelligence research has developed from factor analysis of the psychological measurement to cognitive processing course, and then to the comprehensive research combining composition with course, at the same time environment is investigated. It should be a kind of samsara that represents basic orientation of psychology research.Research method of the comprehensive intelligence is different from simple factor analysis and cognitive processing. It links external composition factor of intelligence quality and processing mechanism of the intellection course together, and describes the cognitive processing course of the intellection by the objective experiment method. We try hard to look for its inherent physiological mechanism, and relates them to abstract g factor and concrete composition. So the essence of the intellection is more overall and more convincing. The research framework of comprehensive intelligence is in pluralism, and it is usually the effective combination of factor analyses and information processing, which is the experiment-correlation method.The framework of inspection time is a newer type in the intelligence experiment correlation research method. A large amount of research has already indicated that there exists some degree negative correlation between inspection time and general intelligence. This discovery is undoubtedly exciting, because intelligence psychologists have kept expecting to find a kind of simple and valid intelligence index for a long time, in order to structure out the convenient and practical intelligence test tool. The discovery of the relation between inspection time and intelligence happens to get it.The researches about the relation between inspection time and intelligence mainly focus on the following several respects:Firstly, it is a kind of verification to the relation and dispute about degree of the relation. In the existing research, the majority is to support this kind of relation, but there are opposing suggestions. In addition, there is unexpectedly span of dispute from -.20 to -.90 for two relevant degrees.Secondly, it is to dispute about nature of the relation. In the existing research,some people support the directness of the two relations, and some people support the indirectness. The researchers supporting the latter can well explain the uncertainty of relation between inspection time and intelligence. They think, in such indirect relation, it is exactly the existence of uncertain intermediary's factor that causes the difference that could work out different relevant degree, even relevant remarkable differences or not in different research. So, the exploration to intermediary variable become the focal point that the latter researches.Thirdly, it is the essential exploration to relation between inspection time and intelligence. Inspection time task is regarded as a kind of basic operation of cognitive processing. The relation between it and intelligence can be explained in operation and organization of cognitive processing. But it is still difficult to make this kind of explanation at present.The article mainly makes a research about the above three problems. At first, the correlation between inspection time and intelligence is verified; Then the speed of information processing is supposed as intermediary variable, at the same time we carry on a quantitative analysis on the relation between inspection time and intelligence, and verify the hypothesis; Finally we compare inspection time task with reaction time task through designing different complexity and environment factors. On the one hand, we want to confirm index characteristics of inspection time and reaction time in the research of intelligence cognitive processing; on the other hand, we bring the relation between inspection time and intelligence into information processing course stage and explain it.The research is divided into two parts, and 120 subjects participate in each part. We write a relevant tests procedure and adopt the computer test way to carry on the research. The result indicates:First, there is significant negative correlation with medium degree between inspection time and intelligence.Second, the speed of information processing significantly correlated with intelligence and inspection time, and it can be defined as one of intermediary variables of them.Third, in the cognitive processing course, inspection time is more steady than reaction time to choose index in different deep processing task.Fourth, in the information processing course, the explanation of relation...
