The children's development evaluation is the necessary mean by which can understand the effectiveness of kindergarten education, make children develop completely. Moreover, can adjust and improve the teaching. Guided by modern advanced educational assessment theory of the kindergarten education outline, the people already have realized the importance of the children's development evaluation from the idea. However, because of various factors, the children's development evaluation is usually neglected in practice.Through a survey of recent document and investigation of current situation on children's development evaluation, the writer find it is a crucial problem on how to transfer development evaluation concepts to operational practice for kindergarten teachers. Therefore, the study selects the children's evaluation problem as the topic of thesis to which the theoretical and practical workers of preschool education pay more attention, and adopts action method to probe for the implemental strategies of applying portfolio assessment to children's development of social filed through establishing collaborative relation with kindergarten teachers. Nowadays, the portfolio assessment is a kind of typical children's development qualitative evaluation model that is extremely advocated in preschool education reform.On the one hand, the action research process combines the theories with the practice so as to provide an effective evaluation model for kindergarten. Meanwhile, we can deeply comprehend portfolio assessment and children's development. On the other hand, we can evaluate children's development objectively and completely by the analysis to the manufacture process of the portfolio and the evaluation result.The study takes kindergarten teacher as cooperators and considers the children of primary class in Experiment Kindergarten as the research objection. On the basis of multiple intelligences theory, constructivism theory and the post-modernism theory, the writing way of the action research (knowledge- action- result- reflection) is taken as the clues of thesis. The writer emphasizes to introduce some operation procedures and the process of action on how to make use of portfolio assessment method in children's development evaluation.Firstly, we comprehend the basic principle of portfolio assessment and establish action group and evaluation scope. Secondly, we design, carry out and improve the evaluation project commonly in the process of acting and rethinking. At the same time, we collect, analyze the information about children's development evaluation, and offer feedback to parents. At last, we put the information into the portfolio. (Evaluation information comes from child himself, teachers, parents and companions. It includes evaluation result table, the child's reward, the child's photo, the child's work, etc.) Finally, we summarize the achievements of the research, reflect on the shortage of research and analyze validity and the ethics problems of research after action. Besides we put forward the suggestion that need to be further action research.
