After the War of Resistance Against Japan, Kuomintang as the ruling party of China, launched the civil war against people. As the result of the war, Kuomintang was failed and shrank back from the Mainland to Taiwan in three years. Kuomintang's failure in the Mainland is always discussed lively in history circles. In fact on the 1950s, Jiang Kai-shek had already analyzed the reasons of failure in different situations. This dissertation researches Jiang Kai-shek's views of the "failure in the Mainland of China" and appraises, pointing out his mistaken ideas in politics, economy, military affairs and diplomacy, thereby analyzing the real causes of the failure of Kuomintang in the Mainland.This dissertation is divided into four parts as follows:Section one: the generalization and summation of research.Section two: spreads out Jiang Kai-shek's views of the "failure in the Mainland of China" concretely. According to different periods and different contents, divides Jiang Kai-shek's views into three stages, and points out the reason and the aim why Jiang Kai-shek analyzed like these.Section three: analyzes and appraises Jiang Kai-shek's views of the "failure in the Mainland", points out the obvious mistakes of his view, then concludes the real reasons of Kuomintang's failure in the Mainland.Section four is the conclusion part: Jiang Kai-shek's views of failure are almost mistaken ideas and shirking responsibility words. Kuomintang's autocracy and a series of mistaken policies in politics, economy, military affairs, and diplomacy lead to its failure.
