A nearly final conclusion is that the Kongzi Jiayu has been regarded as a book of dubious authenticity. So although recording the words and deeds of Confucius and his students, Jiayu's importance couldn't adequately reveal. Fortunately, the bamboo slips of the Rujia Zheyan as well as the headings of wooden tablets found in the Han tombs in Fuyang Shuanggudui found in the Han Tombs in 1970's. The wooden tablet No. 1 of Fuyang slips is a catalogue of a book which, as well as Rujia Zheyan, has something to do with Confucius and his students. These related articles can be found mostly in the Jiayu, Shuoyuan, Sinxu etc. Therefore, the authenticity of Jiayu is beyond doubt according to the new datum. As Jiaya has been discussed by way of a whole book, it is necessary to study on every chapter to distinguish between the venerable and the late. This article discusses two chapters of Kongzi Jiayu, named Zilu Chujian and Lunli. Furthermore, the publication of Patriarch of Populace in the Bamboo Books of the State of Chu in the Warring States Period from the Collection of Shanghai Museum(Volume Two) provides new food to research the Confucian thought. The author believes that Zilu Chujian and Lunli are both derived from Warring States Period. The authenticity of Jiayu should not be doubted just on this foundation.
