Image Violence--The Fruit Falling Into Earth

The influence of violent content in TV and movies is a hot topic in communication study circle. This article considered the impression of violent content of image from the living broadcast of the war of Iraq. What relation is between the cool manner and view and admire attitude when people face a cruel war and a mass of image violence we befall?First of all, the article reviews three image media we often meet-movie, TV and Internet game. The invention of movie offered a best way of people's special desire of vision feast. We often use the ways of rationalization and aesthetics to make audience accept violence easily, and satisfy the desire of people. The influence of TV is more broadly and deeply. This is relative with its character of cool media. It build a dummy word for us, we became to not surprise with violence. Network is a new media, but its speed of development and influence with people should not be despised, especially those callan indulged in internet game. The players became the content of game. The game became the mirror image world of violence of reality and influent players' mind deeply.The violence of image has conditions to influent people. Firstly, the culture of vision is rootedness. But the magnify of function of vision sense will make our senses became unbalance. Secondly, image media close in our life, and the circumscription between dummy and reality became blur. Clinging to image media, image violence became a part of our life easily. Although we meet violence few in our life, but we look violence as a quotidian thing.Lastly, this article explore the root of the question from three layers-physiology, psychology and form.. On the layer of physiology, vision is asense of distance, which is a character of vision. Image media which is the extend of vision has more strong distance move which make us pull away safely from duty consciousness of reality. On the layer of psychology, using many kind of symbolize imago of "compress" and "transfer", all of movie, TV and network express desire hiding in unconsciousness. On the surface, image is the simulate of physics' world; actually, image is the symbolize form of desire. On the layer of form, violence often express with the way of aesthetic, which not only bring straight enjoy of vision to us, but also the aftereffect maybe: when Aesthetic lose its original meaning and became Aesthetic, it bring us the abnormal stink of formalistic and we lose our best pure heart.
