In the tradition of Latin American, corn means the edge of myth, and people means the one of society. Corn person ,as the name of the Latins themselves, combines very much cultural intension. This dissertation puts this novel in the culture explaining, analysising three indispensable parts parts : myth tradition, reality lay and extra culture.Introuduction: this part is concerned with the plots of the novel, analysising the actuality of the disquisition and pointing out the neglected side.It consists of six parts.Part one: Starting from explaining corn, this part focus on the myth tradition of the Latin American and indicate the inherence causes of the importance of the corn.Part two: Seen from the text of the novel, the part explain more myth factors: totem consciousness, naualism, instinct, dualism of Indians, the law of causation and the medium between people and spirit.Part three: From the edge of reality , this part point out the conflict and banlance of the factors on the land : races, relief, cultural conception , and gender.Part four: Analysising the using extra culture and animadverting culture of Asturias , this part point out the confict and accommadation between mainland culture and extra culture.Conclusion: Corn person puts up the life of the Latin Americans in a mythological way. The novel is full of national characters of Latin Americans through the eyes of Indians; and is introuduced an open angle of view from the using of refrence on extra culture. All the parts make the novel be a magnum opus of magic realism.
