Although they didn' t get the same idea at last, the both sides derived from each other and formed the trend of uniform.The debate evaluated the nationalism, enriched the modern conception and put forward many valuable suggestions. According to this debate, the scholars realized the necessity of the research on the traditional culture. They got the same idea about inspiring our national spirit through our national culture. In such situation, the research on the traditional culture reached a climax in the 1930s. Except that, this culture debate also had very strong influence on the cultural policy and enhanced Kuomintang' s attention on cultural construction; Before long, Kuomintang hold the fifth national congress, during which, the proposed by Chen Shiquan who had participated directly in this debate was passed.
