After the arrival of the Portuguese, Macao became the earliest trade port to Europe and became the Chinese important door that imported Negroes. Negroes had an important effect in Macao during the period of Ming and Qing. What's more, Negroes had an important influence, which couldn't be replaced. But very few contributions can show us their activities during this period. We only know from some fragments that some authors wrote. But we don't know the details, such as Negroes' activities, the source of Negroes, the quantity of Negroes and etc. The main point of this article is trying to analyze thoroughly what Negroes had done in Macao during this period. By using all kinds of materials including Chinese and foreign parts, it can solve the questions that haven't been settled yet at present. The whole article can be divided into seven parts: 1) the introduction; 2) the summary of Negroes to China before Ming Dynasty, including the outline of KunLunNu in the period of Tang and Song; 3) Negroes in the period of Ming and Qing, including the special perspective of Macao;4) the source and quantity of Negroes; 5) the position and the management of Negroes; 6) the influence of Negroes and their whereabouts at last; 7) the conclusion, offering the main ideas of the article.
