Our nation is now in a transitional period turning from a close and semi-close society to an open society, from a traditional society to a modern society. For the market economy background, fierce competition for benefits, the temptation of money and profit, as well as the international climate of anti- Marxism since the radical changes in the former Soviet Union and East Europe, some Party members and common people begin to suspect the prospect and fate of Socialism, and their faith in Socialism begins to vacillate. Therefore, there emerge such problems of Marxist faith and Socialist faith in the market economy of our nation. Marxist faith is a brand-new and loftiest faith that integrates scientific worldview, methodology, pure materialism, Partisan nature and principle of proletariat, and the spirit to serve the people heart and soul.The major causes of the loss of Marxist faith in market economy could be divided into two aspects: The objective cause mainly includes four facets, that is the impact of the change of international situation on Marxist faith, the invasion into Marxism by the multiculture of various thoughts in the theoretical circle, the influences of the west hostile forces' intention to "Westernize" and "polarize" the ideological domain of our society, and the impact of socialist market economy on Marxist faith.
