Research On The Truman Administration's No Recognition Policy To The PRC

The Sino-US relation becomes the focus of world attention not only because of its importance but its ups and downs. They were disciplined by a war during the early period of the PRC. The antagonism and hostility between them came from their people's lives and tears. Three decades later, however, they restored normal diplomatic relations in the end. Somebody maybe ask why the tragedy between them happened at that time. The answer of this question is the goal that the article is seeking. The article has three parts. The first, the author talked about the recognition policy to China of the Truman administration and thought that American should be responsible for the confrontation between two nations. At the same time, the author believed that the leaders of the new China are not very positive to American's recognition. The second, the author analyzed some factors rooted in the tradition of American's foreign policy and enunciated the relation between American's recognition policy to China and American's world strategy ,ideology and its tradition of recognition policy. The last, the author summarized a little of lesson and experiences and talked about some perspective of the Sino-US relation.
