Post secondary education is an important composition of higher education, which is the highest level for post secondary. In addition to the common feature, it has its speciality, It serves for local economy and social development, which works directly for getting a job. Post secondary education has closed relation with market especially with labours market. The speciality makes it never be substituted by other educational categories. In 1999, China government launched policies as National Forest Protection, Returning land to Forest, Sand Controlling , Wild Animals Protection and Nature protection Areas to enhance ecology construction. In order to meet the need for advanced proper talents, most Forestry school became into Forestry institutes. By the end of 2003 there are about 22 Forestry institutes in all.In post secondary institutes geographical courses play important role in different majors. The class hours occupy twenty to forty percentage of total of major basic courses and major courses. The reason the courses are indispensable is first that geography environment such as light , heat, water, air and nutrients are necessary elements for plants growing, their quality and quantity and combination decide how plants are distributed and developed. Using geographical elements forest managers can do a lot positive man-made intervene on plants growth . Second is that some technologies mapping, survey, remote control and GIS are always used on forest and forest resource management. Therefore, geographical courses are of importance on majors related to forest. In order to meet the need for post, Post secondary institutes also establish some geography such as Resource Environment and City Programme Management, GIS and so on. Among these majors, geographical courses occupy over sixty percent of the total of major basic courses and major courses. In these two majors, students have to acknowledge geography, study and train geography skills to foster their professional ability. But how to achieve that depends on proper curriculum. Up to now, there isn't proper one that has mature theory and technology because the systematical research on post secondary education courses hasjust begin . On the other hand post secondary education should match its courses with professional difference and activities. In spite of its special training purpose and target and process, post secondary education is regular in drawing up the curriculum. Generally speaking there are two types to draw up. One is to pass on others experience, the other is to do scientifically. Most of institutes use the first one, which means when working out geographical courses curriculum they consulted universities' version for reference or only did little change on forestry school's version and then use them in teaching. As the result of that, teacher would be puzzled and students would have difficulties in studying after all post secondary education is different from higher education and distinguish with vocational education. It has its pecular regularity. Doing so will not chime in with post secondary training target. In this article, the author analyzed the problems which restrict the proper curriuclum and inquired how to draw up proper ones to promote the healthy development on post secondary education.
