The article firstly analyzes the grammaticalization of "连" and the evolution procps of the "连" sentences. Secondly, we discuss the "连" sentences of Modern Chinese, ffce conclusion of the article is that "连"is an emphatic auxiliary. From Sone to Chtng dynasty, both "连" and the adverbs put on the emphatic function of the "Hi" sentences. So the ellipsis of both "连" and the adverbs is very easy. Modern Chinese, the emphatic function of the "连" sentences is mostly put on by the adverbs. Therefore, the ellipsis of "连" is very easy, but the adverbs almost can not be elided. Sometimes because of the syntax restriction, "连" can not be elided or can not be uneasily. We also discuss the dirTerenoes between the "连sentences without "连" and the general uses of "也/都/还". We also analyze the restriction of shift between the affirmative and negative . In the end.we discuss the same function and differences between "连……也/都"and "连……还".And hawstatistics of the applying in Chinese.
