The historical and cultural backgrounds of the emergence about Hu Feng's art thought are: nationalist movement and national country construction of modern times between China and Japan. In this historical course, traditional cultural spirit and modern times' cultural spirit interweave and struggle. It is shown that in China nationalism and national ideology judge and negate individualism and subjectivite catalyzed in "May Fourth" Movement; and in Japan militarism and fascism with Mikado System of political ethics eliminate modern times' subjectivite produced in Mingzhi Reform.Hu Feng's art thinking is shown as a structure of "Triunity": realism literature theory taken creator's subjective spirit as logic starting point and taken life coherency as mainstay; life philosophy taken mono-honored "subjective struggle spirit" as core; active historical view and view of social development.In unique historical situation, his theory system of mono-honored "subjective struggle spirit" assumes contrariety existence: contrariety existence with Mao Zedong Thought and mainstream ideology; contrariety existence with nationalism and collectivism; contrariety existence with great inertia force of traditional cultural spirit.The form of Hu Feng thought also originates from the transcendent consideration on failure of Left Wing Literature Movement in Japan and subjectivite withering in modern times: which has not attained thorough critics and disintegration as to feudal cultural ethics.Known by this, autonomic and self-conscious life subjectivite in Hu Feng's thought is the most deficient quality in orient traditional civilization and feared mostly by it.
