| In this paper, based on the activities of sacrifices in Fujian folk society, the development history, characteristics and its cultural vicissitudes related with Fujian popular religion in tang-song dynasty, were discussed in detail using the historical documents method in combination with social investigation. Two major tendencies - orthodoxy and excessive sacrifices were analyzed intensively, which are firmly related and are the certain result of history according to the idea of this paper. The social vicissitudes are the decisive factor for the religion-culture changes. And moreover, the way intellectuals take part in the folk popular religion and the change of the opinions about people sacrifices also restrict development of popular religion.
