In the Song Dynasty, traditional center city of politics that played as economy center became more convex because of breaking through feudal fort like separation system of lane and market. The boom of city consumption was a prosperous sign of the city prosperity in the Song Dynasty, and the citizen consumption became brightness in the society life in the Song Dynasty. Accompanying with the commodity economy, the population of the Song Dynasty in creased strikingly; the amount and the scale of the city increased also, and the populated that enlarged gradually became the citizen stratum. The constitution of the new stratum was numerous and confused, but it could be divided into upper, middle and lower classes.The consumption can be divided into material and spirit types. The citizen consumption in the Song Dynasty was based on the conditions of economy and culture that was produced by the society.Pursuing profits and luxurious psychology were very obvious. There were marketing, many-faceted and popular tendencies. Moreover, the spirit consumption embodied the featured of the citizen that played as relative independent stratum than the material's. In the meantime, the citizen consumption was a part in the life of the Song Dynasty. We must treat its effect correctly in the Song Dynasty.
