The development of Chinese contemporary oil-painting ( this article points the 90's of 20 centuries primarily hereafter) is gradually taking on diversification and forgiveness. In this progress, the problem of Chinese oil-painting be influenced by the post-modernism current of thought brings into appearance. It's to be paid attention to because of it's complexity . The essence of this problem, I think, is the cultural fight of The East and The West. But how to treat the influence of the post-modernism current of thought to the Chinese contemporary oil-painting is very important. I think we not only can't refuse and scold for no reason, but also should not worship with the blindness, we should adopt the attitude of the principled toleration, discard the coarseness and retain the essence, making the choice self-consciously and wisely.This article makes to consider to this, analyzes emphatically the tendency of the China contemporary oil-painting to relate with the post-modernism current of though, such as, the consciousness of participating in the society, opposing center and opposing authority, valuing the technology, being commercialized, and etc. We hope to hold the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese oil-painting influenced by the post-modernism current of thought .At the same time we considers positively how to develop our national cultural ideal and national spirit, respect national cultural tradition and creative spirit, feel life thoroughly and completely. I think only do that, can we make Chinese oil-painting to have nationality, age and speciality.
