| Mr Nie Zhongming is a famous chorus conductor of the day in our country, a social activist and an incumbent council member leader of Chinese chorus Association. Since 1950's, he has made great contribution in the process of cavancing our country's chorus conducting unedertaking to the world, on the way of nationalizing the art of chorus conducting, and in enriching people's spiritual and cultural life. The obvious style of his chorus conducting is elegant and making a good combination of Chinese and Western elements. Industriousness and carefulness are his constant working style for dozens of years. This essay introduces hia career as an artist and analyses his artistic characteristic. Part 2: the art of chorus conductingDifferent conductor has different style in their chorus conducting because of qualifications and temperament. This part analyses Mr Nie's chorus conducting from the aspects of his voice training of the chorus and his conducting characteristics. Thepurpose is to find hia artistic characteristics of chorus conducting. It includes 3 parts which are "the expert on training the voice ofchorus", "the established art of conducting which combines Chinese and western elements" and "build aperfect artistic image by motivating various positive factors". Part 3: the treasure of treasuresThis part chooses two of the classical chorus works which Mr Nie conducts especially well and analyses them, so it is called "the treasure of treasures". By analyzing, it tries to present Nie's chorus conducting art more expressively in this essay.
