Literature is the poetical way for the human beings to narrate the suffering, religion is a kind of ideology for people in the suffering to imagine happiness. Focusing on the suffering together is the first fusion point between Buddhism culture and Chinese literature of 20th century. There are three Buddhism ways to deal with the suffering . bearing suffering through obeying the destiny, dispelling the suffering through extinguishing the destiny and saving the suffering through salving the suffering people to the nirvana, which provide us with a new perspective to interpret the relationship between Buddhism and Chinese literature of 20th century. This article took " Three Dharmas", "Four Saint-doctr-ines" and Zen as its religious theory backgrand, to discuss how the three ways had affected and permeated into the Chinese literature of 20th century. At the same time, through individually and systematicly analyzing the famous writers of China in 20th century who had the Buddhism characteristic such as Lu-xun,Shen-congwen,Feng-zikai,Fei-ming, Xu-dishan, Shi-zhecun, Li-shutong,Su-manshu,Xu-zhimo, Wang-zengqi, Shi-tiesheng, Ma-yuan, Yu-hua, A-lai, Yan-zhen etc, this article discussed how the Chinese literature of 20th century had chosen, closed to and deviated from the three ways. In the discussing of mutual influence, this article drew its conclusion: because of focusing on the suffering and the ways to deal with the suffering, Buddhism had gotten the realistic feasibility and the ultimate and perpetual value, and Chinese literature of 20th century had gotten a precious character of human-centered thought. The flower of Buddhi and the light of Muse will be bound to illuminate the endless journey for people to depart from the suffering and to return to their spiritual homeland in the future.
