This dissertation discusses the innovation of Tang Chuanqi comparing with Biographic tradition ,Zhiguai novel and Zhiren novel.It falls into six chapters.The first chapter studies that Tang Chuanqi exceeded Biographic tradition internally. Tang Chuanqi was deeply concerned to individuals and pursued aesthetic taste. It exceeded Biographic tradition in function,ways and means,style.But the exceed was hearsay.The second chapter demonstrates that Tang Chuanqi indited novels consciously. This argument could be testified by its writers,its dramatic personaes and artistic skills.The third chapter discusses the culture character from "congcanduanyu" to "beizhongti". Tang Chuanqi sucked nourishment of all kinds of culture by its containness and extension.The fourth chapter discusses the poetic flavour of Tang Chuanqi .The writers thawed poem's rhythm, phonology and syntax. It made Tang Chuanqi obtain poem's fractional character in literation and aesthetics.The fifth chapter discusses the relationship between Tang Chuanqi and Zhiguai novel.The difference between the alternative was just on form,not on content.Because Tang Chuanqi simply turned ordinary into complex,theme wasn't altered drastically.The sixth chapter discusses the relationship between Tang Chuanqi and Zhiren novel. Zhiren novel effected Tang Chuanqi deeply.The most important was that the alternative both attended "individual".
