Shen Youding made a very high evaluation on the Book of Moism. Considering it as one of the wonderful books in the world for its discussion on the issues, such as mathematics, mechanics, optical, economy, logics and perceptionalization in one book, he made his devotion to the research of this book.This thesis attempts to probe into the devotions to the Book of Moism made by Shen Youding from the three aspects respectively as his appraisal and explanation of this book, his elucidation of the logic thought in this book and the methodology he took to research this book. And also to analyze the influence and present significance of the process itself and methodology Shen Youding took to research the logic thought in this book.For the sake of the historical influence of "abolishing other schools and respecting confusions merely" as well as the difficulty in understanding, scholars hardly had the interest in it. While during Qing Dynasty, with the revitalization of intellectuals' interest to ancient books, scholars rediscovered the book of Moism and began to sort it out. This drew a line between him and other scholars who modified at random the book adaptable to their own arbitrary annotation in book of logic in book of Mosim. Shen annotated the logicalstatements, correcting some errors in ancient literatures, which well base of language and wordage Shen Youding have elaborated the logical system in Book of Moism and push it to a higher level.The second part of the thesis discusses the Shen's elucidation of logical thought in Book of Moism. He summarized this thought as debate, concept, proposition and inference and held that the logical thought in this book is a theoretical system containing thinking rules and forms. He expressed his own novel opinions on the definition, object, scope, aim and function of debate, the nature, definition and categorization of concept, the nature, type and denotation of proposition as well as the concrete between debate and proposition. Correct method is the short cut to success with scientific research included. The third part of the thesis deals with Shen's method to research this book. With his special training in ancient Chinese characters, collate and explanations of words in ancient books and experiences of study in famous western universities, he used the methods of comparative research, textual research of all types of copies and textual criticism research, which made him possible to research the Book of Moism with modern logical methods.Shen's research on the logical thought to Book of Moism had the significance of carrying forward the cause and forge ahead into the future. The fourth part of the thesis discusses the enlightenment significance of Shen's research on the logical thought process itself and methodology to the present academic research of modern logic.
