The Study About Features Of Neurotransmitters Metalolism And Psychopathology In Social Phobia

PrefaceWith the developing of biological psychiatry and psychopharma-cology, more and more scholars take their attentions to the study of biological chemistry of psychiatry. However, because the patients were damaged in the process of collecting cerebrospinal fluid so the study of neurotransmitters had were prevented. In our study, neurotransmitters were detected in no damaging with Encephalofluctuogram Technology ( ET) whose principl was to utilize the frequency of chemo agitation to detecte neurotransmitters content. The social phobia is a common and losed social communication mental disorder. It is called a subtype neurosis in the " classification and diagnosis criteria of mental disorders in china" ( CCMD -3). However, in clinical practice we find that social phobia is included not only neurosis level but as well paranoia symptoms , or called sensitive beziehungswahn. In the international study, a concept of mental disorders continuum is used and the concept of neurosis will not be used , so the concept of insight is become to limited more and more. Therefore, the symptoms diagnosis of social phobia have lots of difference and the therapy has not coincident planning.In the present study ,we want to measure center neurotransmitter in social phobia with Encephalofluctuogram Technology ( ET) and personality in social phobia , we also measure symptoms and controlthem between after therapy and before therapy, in order to find the difference of center neurotransmitter and personality between sensitive subtype in social phobia and schizophrenia ,and offer evidences for diagnosis and therapy.Materials and methods1. Patients and controls; the all patients were diagnosed social phobia by two doctors according to " clinical descriptions and diagnostic criteria of" classification and diagnosis criteria of mental disorders in china ( CCMD - 3 ) " ; Liebowitz social anxiety scale fear/ anxiety/ avoidance > 18 , whose ages are range from 13 years to 40 years. 32 consenting patients ( male 18, female 14,) are eliminated other mental diseases and organic psychosis. At the same time , the negative health controls were elected 38 and positive controls schizophrenia were elected 31 according to essential matching about age, sex education and course.2. Neurotransmitters detecting : we detected GAB A, GA, ACH, 5 - HT, NE, DA and entropy for 32 social phobia with ET before therapy and after 3 months therapy.3. personality and phychopathology assessment; all the consenting patients with social phobia , health controls and patients with schizophrenia were assessed by us with MMPI,EPQ and MPQ before therapy.4. subtypes and therapy measures; patients with social phobia were separated two subtypes ; general subtype and sensitive subtype and they were treated by venlafaxine and cognitive behave therapy.5. statistic analysis; ANOVA test group differences for all Dun-nett ,T - test before and after therapy were made by SSPS 10.0.Results1. ET results; Compared the social phobia patients with the health controls, GAB A and 5 - HT in social phobia was significandy lower than that in health controls. Compared the schizophrenia patients with the health controls : GABA, ACH were lower, DA and entropy was significandy higher than that P < 0. 05; Compared social phobia patients with schizophrenia patients :5 - HT and DA and entropy was significandy lower than that in schizophrenia P <0.05.2. MMPI results; Compared social phobia with health controls ,D ,PA , PT, SI subscales were significandy higher than that in health controls. Compared schizophrenia with health controls; HY, PA, SCH, SI subscale were significandy higher than that in health controls. Compared social phobia sensitive subtype with schizophrenia: D, PT were higher and SCH lower than that in schizophrenia.3.
