Middle Ages is an important period in Chinese1 history ,SanGuoZhi is a representative literature and history classic at this stage.In the thesis,we make an overall statistic and analysis on the appearance of all sorts of forms traditionally being regarded as verb-complement construction used in SanGuoZhi.Ey syndronic and historical comparison with other documents at the same period early and later period,we clarify the nature of verb-complement construction in SanGuoZhi and the position of it in the whole verb-construction history.Furthermore,we get some knowledge of several questions like form marks of verb-complement construction the relationship between New Pivotal Form and Verbal Causitive Fonru the reason of the production of completement-complementsuchas"Bi Jing Qi",and so on.
