The paper investigates the development of Chinese children of Han nationality's acquiring adverbs. The children are from one to five. Near one hundred adverbs which in children's speech are classified into three categories in this paper. The three categories are divided into ten more small categories. These adverbs are thus studied and some adverbs which are used more frequently are analysed specially. The paper shows the features and process of children's acquiring adverbs from syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects, and furthermore, it analyses the foundation and mechanism of children's acquiring adverbs from the feature of children's cognitive development and discusses some relative issues.The paper investigates the developing stages of children's competence of constructing presupposition concretely, analyses the features of each kind of restrictive adverbs on semantic level especially, and analyses the connection between the theory of markeredness and the sequence of children's language acquisition; it also induces and shows the concrete modes, strategies, developing stages and basic mechanism of children's acquiring adverbs and relative syntactic structures; and furthermore, the paper also studies the complicated relation between grammaticalization and the sequence of the acquisition of Chinese adverbs.The opinions on the child language acquisition which are put forward in this paper will be valuable to Linguistic of Child Language, Cognitive Psychology, Chinese Grammar and relative subjects. The opinions are also helpful to people's referencing in language teaching.
