Suffering from a series of hardy flounders,Eileen Chang came to fade out from the literary world eventually and fell into lonesome and more individual world.Nowadays the study on Eileen Chang has become more and more notable. However,the academic circles in China still divide her literary career into two parts:high praise of her works in the early 1940s;indifference or purenegation for those overseas works created in 1950s due to some ideology reasons. That's why we can't understand Eileen and her works entirely. How to reproduce her literary creation in 1950s factually,how to present the panorama of all her works and finally how to confirm the significance of her literature impersonally,these are the questions to be discussed in the thesis.
