The thesis for graduation is doing research to poems of Yugangzhong. With the help of the social background and with the analysis to the difference between oriental and west poems, it wants to have these three aims: First, it tracks down how the poet took shape of his distinctive type of poems, Second it investigates the elements, besides "China Complex", which contributed to Yu's creative writing return to the "New Classicism" way. Third, it analyzes the poems traits and fortes. From the above three aspects, the thesis is expected to have an all-round and deep understanding to Yuguangzhong's poems. The thesis thinks, the west and oriental cultures both have great influences to Yu's poems. East culture, including classical literature, philosophy and literature starting from the May 4th Movement endowed his poems oriental characteristics. Meanwhile the techniques of west poems make his poems full of vigor and vitality. And it's poet's own dispositions and the inner regulars of literature itself, rather than the so-called "China Complex", that made Yuguangzhong change his writing style. At last, the characteristics of poems embody in two aspects, one is the pure meaning of his poems, the other is the particular aesthetical portray.
