Macao's Chinese Literary Soceties The Development Of Literature In The 20～(th) Century

Lots of Chinese literary societies were found in Macan during the past one hun- dred years driving Macan?s Chinese literature to flourish, to grow and to form a unique and special character. We can see that Chinese literary societies were actively participated in the early literary activities of old ?styled Chinese poet society, Anti ?Japanese literary movement, Drama literary activities in mid ?twentieth century, and the Literary movement in the 1980s. The success of today?s Chinese literature in Macan is not the result of a mira- cle in a short period of time. Its existence and development has a long history. It is the achievement of the collective effort of Chinese literati, local writers and Chinese literary societies over a few centuries. From the point of view in literary socialization, literary communication and lterary sociology, this paper amims at considering what kind of important role the Chinese literary societies played and its influences and contribution of their activities to the development of Macan?s Chinese literature, so as to find out the characteristics of Macan?s Chinese literature development under the background of colonial culture and the creative characteristics of Chinese writers. It can also help to assess the value and position of Macan?a Chinese literary societies in Macan?s Chinese literature developmental history.
