Ye Guangqin抯 works mainly revolve around the life of the nobility descendants of Qing Dynasty whom have deep cultural characteristics. My essay basically studies Ye Ouangqin抯 novels in five aspects. The first part expounds Ye抯 novels contained a traditionally deep-seated Chinese culture. Firstly it detailedly explains the influence of author抯 noble family background and traditional culture on her works. Exactly thanks to her noble family background. the traditional and noble Chinese culture profoundly influence on her works. Therefore, Ye抯 attitude towards the culture reflects her criticism to the old culture circles and her inseparable emotions?梩he sense of reliability and recognition. Secondly, the first part reveals the culture influenced on the creative of works through Ye抯 work seeking and mourning the Qing抯 culture. Her works present the dilemmatic attitude towards the clan culture and the conflict of her minds. These points embody the charming of omnipresent existing culture and the difficulty of throwing a~vay singly. Inherited from the traditional culture, Confucianism and Taoism have a great impact on the Chinese culture. In Ye抯 works, we could see the embodiments of the two thoughts. In the end, it shows that the true ideal of Ye抯 works is to build up a spiritual garden deeply cultivated in the traditional culture soils. The second chapter essentially displays the customs and characters of Beijing. The sources of Ye抯 novels stem from two aspects. One is the novel life of the descendants of Qing dynasty. Second is the real life of native Pekinese. The application of the tactful and elegant languages Ye used give her works an impression of solemnity. The third chapter writes female image in Ye抯 novels. In her novels women are gentle who have persistent ideals. Analyzing the characters of those women, we can find their kindness and honesty possessed and the III I _______ ?? spirits of consistently realizing their ideals. Compared with the images of women created by female writers was born in 1970抯, we observe the writers of creative backgrounds leading to the different cultures. The fourth chapter analyses the cultural conflicts as well as the differences and similarities between Japanese and Chinese novels, American and Chinese, the other foreign novels and Chinese which set out to study the Ye抯 novels. Through analyzing, it shows author has a wide range of cultural knowledge and the elegant style. At the same time, the works present author抯 positive towards the creativity. That is whatever culture in western or eastern, we should absorb the elites and throw away the rubbish. Contrasted with the foreign novels, we may get that Ye抯 novels pay more attention to the spirits of people and the collective culture, from which Ye tries to inspect the changing of the Men抯 spirits and mistaken side. The studies of the last chapter show Ye Guangqin抯 attitude towards the life of the common people. In the first period of her works, Ye Guangqin holds a negative approach to the life and culture of the common people apposed the noble culture. In the later period, the manner of Ye抯 has changed and gradually sympathized with people lived in the bottom of the sociality.
