Entry Into High Tang Period——on Zhang Jiuling's Creation Of Poetry

Zhang Jiuhng is a prodigious wit and great master of liteiature of High Tang period, who was highly respected by the men of letters of that time. He is an Important writer in the early stage of High Tang period There presently exists 218 poems with their styles being freshness and na- ture Comment from Shi Sou read: ith its poetic characteristic of Early Tang period inheriting that of Liang and Sur Zhang Zishou initiated the school of freshness. From High Tang period on, Meng Haoran, Wang Wei, chu Guangxi, Chang Jian, Wei Yingwu succeeded Qu Jiang?s Freshness but surpassed him? In fact , He not only established the school of Freshness but also his poems have the feature of High Tang period The thesis endeavors to probe Zhang Jiuhang's creation of poetry. from three aspects, namely, embodiment of Feng Gu , creation of XingX- iang, aesthetical feature of Freshness and Nature. In doing so, the author hope to find a suitable place in the history of literature for the poct and to research the poetic transitional trace from Early Tang to High Tang as well as the spiritual feature of the poems in High Tang period I Embodiment of Feng Gu This part is subdivtdcd into two sections.
