During the reformation trend of modern Chinese society in early 20th century, the Chinese Y.M.C.A. , with its relationship with the church and characteristics of international movement , put forward the proposals about establishing new Christian moral and personality and about saving the nation through noble moral character. This organization focused on the overall improvement in moral, intelligence, health and social intercourse, and thus held a serial of social transformational activities. All these practices exerted great influence upon Chinese society of that time. Through the analysis of the statements and actions by Y.M.C.A. , this page makes study of the characteristics and status of Y.M.C.A.'s activities, on the basis of the investigation upon these activities within the macroscopic environment of Chinese history.
