The Operating System Research Of National Art Exhibitions During The Cultural Revolution

The national art exhibitions during the Cultural Revolution is vigorous and the pleasure it brought forth in visual perspective is unprecedented. It satisfies the revolutionary demand by the enforcement and spread of the cultural politics of the Cultural Revolution. The productions and the exhibition leave a deep impression on individuals and the whole society on the visual level.Because of the sensibility of politics and difficulties in collection of materials of depth, the research on arts during this period is knotty but necessary. It is reasonable to start from the national art exhibition. Regarding the exhibition as a social art produced by the Cultural Revolution, this paper analyzes productions and events from the perspective of politics, history and culture; and also gives a detailed study on the organizational and operation systems of arts institutions during this period.This paper consists of five chapters: Chapter One is an introduction on the National Art Exhibition. Chapter Two figures out the organizational system of the arts institutions during this period. Chapter Three discusses the operation system of the National Art Exhibition; Chapter Four analyzes the function of arts as tools; Chapter Five gives a conclusion on the significance of the National Art Exhibition. In all, this paper will give an all-round analysis on the National Art Exhibition and provide some valuable information in this area.
