Based on the first-hand information got from the questionnaire survey and field investigation on the activity-diary of Urumqi residents, this paper study on the time-space structure of the Uygur residents'daily activities in their rest days and working days'by using the method of time-geography research. Including: (1) this paper makes a comparative study on the time-space structure of male and female's daily activities in their rest days and working days'by using the method of time-geography research, what's more, select three typical samples of different families, and analysis these typical samples'paths of daily activities, reveal different families'characters of daily activities; (2)the author analyzes the time and spatial characteristics of commuting activities of Uygur residents. Differences of commuting spaces caused by gender, age and profession are also included in analysis; (3) analyzes the time and spatial characteristics of shopping activities of Uygur residents. Further, set up the space structure patterns of shopping activities of weekend and working day. Moreover, differences of shopping spaces caused by gender, age, income and profession are also included in analysis; (4) analyzes the time and spatial characteristics of leisure activities of Uygur residents. Further, set up the space structure patterns of leisure activities of weekend and working day. Moreover, differences of leisure spaces caused by gender, age, income and profession are also included in analysis.The analysis results show that: (1) Uygur residents, men and women, both have a more centralized space distribution in their working, shopping, recreation and other daily activities, main space is from 0.5 to 5 Km, and among Uygur more people busy themselves in rest days, and more women mainly engage in family activities. As the number of the Uighur who engage in non-formal, unstable, temporary work, and the Uighur have a poorer general education level, in addition, they are affected by religion, the Uighur are restricted in some work; (2)Uygur residents'commuting time is short and space is narrow; the commuting space of male residents bigger than the female; with increased age, the commuting space narrow gradually; Uygur citizens take lowly motorized tools for journey to work, but more than 50.5% going on foot. In a word, the rhythm of Uygur residents'daily activities is slow; (3) first, the time characteristics of shopping activities are more residents in weekend than in working day, the male residents shows the activities of the two peaks, while the peak of female residents in the afternoon; second, the rest day shopping space larger than working day, the basic shopping and main shopping circle are same in weekend and working day, but the daily shopping circle of working day is larger than weekend; third, different properties of the residents in the shopping activity on the obvious differences: the shopping space of male residents larger than the female; with increased age, the shopping space narrow gradually; white-collar sectors with the largest shopping space, unemployed residents with the smallest space; with the income levels, increasing shopping space; the higher education, the larger shopping space. (4) the time characteristics of leisure activities are more residents in weekend than in working day, the peak of leisure activities at night, the peak of female residents is later than male's one hour; Uygur residents leisure at home, the rest day leisure space larger than working day, from 0 to 2km is the basic leisure circle, and from 0 to 4km is the daily leisure circle in the rest day, from 0 to 0.5km is the basic leisure circle, from 0 to 1km is the main circle, and from 0 to 2km is the daily leisure circle in the working day; different properties of the residents in the shopping activity on the obvious differences: the leisure space of male residents larger than the female, with increased age, the leisure space narrow gradually, with the income levels, leisure space first become larger, and then become narrow, the profession and education levels of residents do not play important role in leisure activities. This conclusion will provide theoretical guidance for urban planning and construction.
