ObjecveTo explores the social cognition characteristics of aggressive behavior in adolescents as well as the relationship between their implicit aggression and explicit aggression in the perspective of implicit and explicit social cognition.MethodsRandom sampling is adopted to select 1368 adolescents from four middle schools in E'zhou city. Aggressive questionnaire (AQ) is used to investigate their explicit aggression degree. According to the scoring standards of AQ questionnaire, 32 subjects are selected randomly from the top 2% of the subjects whose scores are over 94 points as the high aggression group. Meanwhile, Those whose scores range from 45 to 90 are chosen as the control group. The experiment model of aggressive graph recognition, aggressive fighter preference and aggressive word-form preference were carried out to study explicit and implicit aggression characteristics of adolescents in two groups.Results1. Among the 1368 subjects, 61 students with high aggression was found ,the rate is 4.40%.There are significant differences between boys and girls(P<0.05) .The average score of the AQ questionnaire is 59.36? 17.23 .There are significant differences (P<0.05)in physical aggression between male and female subjects. The physical aggression scores of male subjects are higher than that of female subjects. Furthermore, grades and genders are significantly correlated with physical aggression and anger (P<0.05).2. In aggressive graph recognition, the recognition accuracy of attackers by high aggression group is higher than that of the control group, but there is no significant difference (P>0.05). On the other hand, the recognition accuracy of attackers by the control group is higher than that of the high aggression group with significant difference (P<0.05).3. Aggressive fighter preference can be found in both high aggression group and control group ,and with no gender difference (P>0.05).4 In aggressive word-form preference experiment, there is no significant difference (P>0.05) between high aggression group and control group. However, male subjects prefer physical aggressive words while female subjects prefer verbal aggressive words.Conclusion1. There are significant difference in explicit aggression between high aggression group and control group. The explicit aggression of the former group is remarkably higher than that of the latter group. Meanwhile, there are significant difference in explicit aggression between male subjects and female subjects.2. Preference for attackers is shown by the two groups in the experiment of implicit social cognition, which reveals that implicit aggression is pervasive among adolescents with no significant gender difference.3. In both the explicit and implicit social cognition of adolescents, gender difference exists in their expression of aggressive behaviors. Male subjects are more connected with physical aggression while female subjects with verbal aggression.4. Explicit and implicit aggression of adolescents are not only different but also independent from each other.
