Research On The Evolution Of The Image Of Diao Chan

Diao Chan's literature image should be started in Yuan Dynasty's"Three Story Telling". During this time, Zaju was unprecedentedly flourishing. Diao Chan's story was largely played on the stage of Yuan Dynasty in deferent kinds of performance.Through the continuous creation of the writers and the playwrights, the final image of Diao Chan was shaped in Luo Guan zhong's"The Romance of Three Kingdoms". From these literature, we clearly see the development of the image of Diao Chan, which is not only a reflection of people's creative psychology, but also the inevitability of women's tragedy under male chauvinism in feudal society. This article starts with the above and further explores the causes of the image of Diao Chan and its social and historical roots.
