Tagore, the great writer and thinker of India history, with his literary and thought, has not only crossed the national boundaries but also crossed centuries. Till today, we could still feel his calling for love and the happiness of spiritual harmony. In his lifetime, he pursuits the spirit of the unity of Brahman and Atman, which is a unique and harmonious world, and that is also his core literary thought that to achieve"joy from the union of finite and infinite", and this pleasure is a kind of harmonious and internal integration, which is just the purpose of literature to promote the rebuilding of human heart. This paper is going to research the influence which literature imposes on human heart from the angle of the relationship between literature and spirit in Tagore's poetics, and in hope to recalling the purification and upgrading of human heart in modern literature; with the hope to help human being to deal with the spiritual dilemma, to promote the perfection and development of human and to promote the harmonious society and prosperity through studying these problems. Centering with this object, this paper has been divided into three chapters, and these three chapters have fully embodied Tagore's poetics of"spiritual expression".Chapter One is mainly summarized on the relationship of literature and human mind, and is trying to reveal the world of literature which is not only the performance of the human mind, but also embodying the point of"personality of the person", this is the basis of literature to construct the human mind, and which is the most basic ideas of Tagore's poetics of"spiritual expression".Chapter Two mainly deliberates how to build a harmonious world of literary and artistic, in this harmonious world, there is the harmony between man and nature, between man and man .This combination is the union of finite and infinite ,of the soul of the individual and the ultimate , that is the heart of the fully integrated. This is the necessary condition to achieve literature to construct the human mind, and which is the important feature of Tagore's poetics of"spiritual expression". Chapter three mainly discusses how literature brings happiness to human mind. Literature, even when the writers get joy and detachment in literary creation, brings joy to all appreciator, that is"pleasure is the soul of literature", be they are writer or reader, happiness is derived from the inner integration, the largest inner integration joy is love. Only love can truly realize the joy of inner harmony, that"joy from the union of finite and infinite". At this point, literature is in the true sense finishing its function of rebuilding human heart;"happiness and eternal"is the final goal of literature and which is also the ultimate meaning of Tagore's literature.
