The great painter Chen Hongshou in late Ming Dynasty experienced an eventful life ,but his brilliant artistic achievements makes him stand out, most of his works focus on figures, fine flowers and birds, regarded as an innovative landscape painter. In particular, his impressive bird works can be described as typical of the late Ming, Song and Yuan Dynasties of his bird uphold orthodox, but no lack of innovative spirit.The first part of this article discusses the characteristics of Chen Hongshou bird of succession and to show the status and achievements of Chen Hongshou bird. The second part discusses Chen Hongshou's flower manifestations. Ink spread from the ancient testimonies shine is an important factor in his works; "antique" conception of painting and color with the use of schema, is from his keen artistic sensibility and brings him artistic accomplishments. The third part mainly focus on Chen Hongshou's paintings and art theory of his artistic aesthetic. The unique artistic expression of the concept lies in his unique and distinctive aesthetic; he insists his painting idea, professional painters focus more on quality, the formation of his own so-called " writers "painted body, which is praised by his unique contemporary artists. "Old-fashioned" aesthetic and the painting shapes his simple, quiet, free and natural state of painting. What he left in the history of art in the Ming Dynasty, an unique flower painting style, but also has brought new vitality into the bird works for the coming generation.
