Different from traditional teaching model,web-based teaching had taken a great part in our teaching and became an important development trend in college English reform. Due to many factors, there are many problems in the current web-based college English teaching which seriously neglects collaborative teaching activities and mainly emphasizes the contents and reading. What is the present situation of this web-based collaborative teaching?What should be teaching countermeasures in web-based collaborative teaching activities of college English? What should be the exactly procedures in Web-based collaborative teaching activities of college English? The deliberation of the above issues is the foundation of the paper.The paper collects and analyzes the relative documents concerned web-supported teaching activities, while it also does some field work by designing the well targeted questionnaire for those representative students of web-supported teaching programs, and interview with the teachers in this regard, thus a full picture of their understandings and demands were crystallized in a bid to make some breakthroughs in the web-supported teaching activities of college English. The paper selects the contents of college English to design the web-based collaborative teaching activities of college English by analyzing the case. The instruction design for web-supported teaching programs of college English is the application of"Course Design"in the subject of English, with constructivism and activity theory as its support, based on which, as well as the personal experience and on the spot observations of the web-supported teaching programs, the paper analyzes and describes its basic components and procedures, which actually constitute the key parts and the legitimacy of this paper.Following this thinking pattern, the paper proposes the basic operating procedure by analyzing the factors concerned in the web-supported interactive teaching of college English, which includes the design of teaching aims , teaching procedures and the evaluation of the final effects. In the end, the paper ends itself with a new case plan with complete operating procedures by a case study of a design plan for《ADVANCED ENGLISH》teaching performance, in a bid to provide, with those elementary study, some supports for the growth of the web–supported interactive teaching of the college English in our nation. Of course, some of those suggestions, principles and strategies proposed in this paper require further verification in the author's teaching practice afterward.
