The Research For The Tendency Of Appreciating The Ugly In Laoshe' Novels

Lao She is a well-known writer,his novels reveal the human nature unique and profound, it's very meaningful to study his novels. I believe that Lao She's novel has a tendency of appreciating the ugly, and in the process of ugliness revealing deeper level of human nature.There are many other articles to research Lao She's novels, this paper is characterized by the angle from the ugliness of his novels to provide a new direction for the interpretation of his works, and provide new point of view.This paper is divided into three chapters,the fist chapeter is to tell people that the tendency of appreciating the ugly in Laoshe's novels is mainly because of the write thought of realism.The second chapter,combing together Laoshe's works,is to analyze the performance of the tendency of appreciating the ugly,which mainly contain two aspects:first, tear the appearance of the normal life, through summarizing the figure image; second, reflect the evil of human nature, through analyzing a typical character of "xiangzi".This chapter is divided into four parts:First, "tear the appearance of the normal life ", to summary four kinds of figure image, involving " the working people, young intellectuals, office workers, the rich people ". Second, to analyzie the reasons of the characteristics in the two figure image of " the working people " and " the young intellectuals ". Third, " reflect the evil of human nature ", to analyzie the evil of human nature from Xiangzi in the angle of living and love (self-existence, save species). Fourth, to reveal an important reason about Xiangzi's degeneracy:the relationship with Huniu and Mrs Xia.The third chapter is to illustrate one meaning of the tendency of appreciating the ugly in Laoshe's novels:to arouse the reader's sensitivity to real life, and to analyzie the meaning with Iser's Reception esthetics.Through analysis we can see that the works of Laoshe do have a tendency of appreciating the ugly, Laoshe reveal the truth in his novels about those people:the working people are ignorant, brutish, and weak,miserable;Young intellectuals, although have knowledge,don't have perfect personality; Office workers don't do actual things and loss of the sense of justice; the rich people do not care about other people Laoshe reveals the evil of human nature very deep, he create the image of Xiangzi very vivid, Xiangzi is hard-working, serious but also selfish,cowardly. This paper analyzie Xiangzi in the angle of living and love,and combining with Freud's psychoanalytic theories, propose an important reason about Xiangzi's degeneracy:the death instinct in human nature was aroused but not dredged appropriately. One meaning of the tendency of appreciating the ugly in Laoshe's novels is to arouse the reader's sensitivity to real life and let them see the truth, and combining with Iser's Reception esthetics, this part particularly analyzie the Beijing features and the commonly used expression in his works.
