"(?)", Chinese transliteration as Nan Mu Te, is a kind of Tibetan Opera. Since it was originated from Labrang Monastery of Xia'He, Gannan, Nan Mu Te is called Labrang Opera as well. Labrang is one of the six Gulug Monastery, so the Labrang Opera possess strong local characteristicsBased on ethnomusicology, cultural anthropology, folklore study as long as first hand information gathered from local people, this thesis is about to seek Nan Mu Te's feature, value and its development with a deep understanding of it.This paper mainly divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 narrates the development of Tibetan Opera and the birth of Nan Mu Te. Chapter 2 talks about historical figures of Nan Mu Te, analyzing various internal and external factors for the format of this kind of opera. Chapter 3 analyses Artistic features of Nan Mu Te, from music ontology to maypole.Chapter 4 works on the influences that other forms of art caused to Nan Mu Te. Chapter 5 fully reports on the Inheritance situation of Nan Mu Te. Chapter 6 emphasizes Nan Mu Te's cultural and social values.All in all, I think Nan Mu Te has unique artistic qualities in forms of literature, aesthetics, music, dance, stage design, perform and so on. Nan Mu Te is a living specimen of Gannan Tibetan culture and tradition, reflecting historical and cultural changes of different times. I worried about the inheritance situation for Nan Mu Te through my research for the paper. Hereby, I call for protection for this unique folk art and let more and more people know it and pay attention to it. Together, we make the Nan Mu Te maintain youth forever...
